RoundingWell Design Update
Today we’re releasing a design update for RoundingWell. After watching how you’ve used RW over the last few years, we saw a number of ways to make your experience in RW more productive and, dare I say it, easier.
Let’s take a few moments to walk through three goals and three highlights.
Three Design Goals
Goal 1: Bring the work closer
Previously, an action and an action’s form were on separate pages. Now, the form lives on the action page. Click an action from your worklist and everything you need to work the action is right on the page.
Goal 2: Open up more screen real estate
Rather than fly-in sidebars (think: action sidebar, flow sidebar, filter sidebars, bulk edit sidebar), everything you need is on the page. You can see related details while accomplishing a task. For example, you can see active filters while working through your worklist.
Goal 3: Make every click count
When navigating from a worklist, you can jump right to what you want. Plus, breadcrumb navigation is now more universal. Productivity is all about enabling multiple navigation paths so no click is wasted and you get to where you’re going quicker.

The New Action Card
Anatomy of the Action Card
Actions are the fundamental units of work in RW. The new card style allows actions to work harder and give you multiple navigation targets:
Click most anywhere on the action to jump right to the action page.
Click the form chip if you want to jump to the expanded form mode. This gives maximal real estate for working in a form.
Click the flow name to jump to the flow page.
Click the patient name to toggle the patient sidebar. You can then click the patient name on the sidebar to jump to the patient’s workflows page.
If an action has attachments or comments, clicking either one navigates you to those sections on the action page.
Patient Dashboard Workflows
We used to call this Patient Dashboard. In reality, it’s the list of open workflows for a patient. Instead of Archive, it’s just closed workflows. Simpler language is better.
Patient Sidebar
Your sidebars are now organized into panels, which you can collapse or show to better suit your needs.
